Advice for Students in Year 11

We know that this is an unsettling time for everyone but today Ofqual, the Government office responsible for regulating all exams in England, published the guidance below.

We continue to await information on how vocational and technical qualifications will be assessed.

We have now created a pack of ideas that will help you to prepare for joining us in September, we hope to add to this pack over the coming months with more subject specific advice on how you can best prepare for the course you have in mind at College but meanwhile we know that a key focus for every student should be on you continuing to develop literacy, numeracy and verbal communication.

So -  every day you should read something, practice some numerical calculations and also practice your verbal skills – maybe prepare a presentation about your future:

  • why have you chosen this course?
  • what is it that excites you?
  • what do you think you will find challenging ?

Then record yourself delivering the presentation to improve your ability to communicate clearly.
