What's Involved

CIPD Foundation Level 3 is a part time evening course for learners wishing to gain employment or who already have an administration position within Human Resources. This qualification gives you accredited status of CIPD Affiliated Membership.

You will study 8 units which will provide the knowledge to work within a Human Resources job role.

The units are:

  • Developing Yourself as an Effective Human Resources;
  • Understanding Organisations and the Role of Human Resources;
  • Recording, Analysing and Using Human Resources Information;
  • Resourcing Talent;
  • Supporting Good Practice in Managing Employment Relations;
  • Supporting Good Practice in Performance and Reward Management;
  • Contributing to the Process of Job Analysis;
  • Delivering Learning and Development Activities.

Entry Requirements

The only entry requirement is that you have a job, or have experience of working within a company. You do not have to be currently working within Human Resources.

You will need to compete coursework during the programme so your English writing skills need to be at least to GCSE standard.

Where will it take me?

You may continue to study on the Intermediate, Level 5 CIPD course. You are also able to apply for jobs as an HR Administrator.

Valued by employers CIPD qualifications help you to develop the business understanding and technical knowledge that employers look for. They demonstrate that you’ve achieved a certain level of knowledge in HR and L&D.

Develop your HR and business knowledge. Plus everything you learn can be applied back in the workplace with immediate effect; Flexibility and choice: You can work towards your CIPD qualification at your own pace and gain credits for your achievements along the way;

Most CIPD qualifications provide you with a professional level of membership (Associate Member) which demonstrates that your professionalism in the workplace.

Course Assessment Method

During the course you will be assessed by submitting coursework. This will be in the format of reports, leaflets, brochures and presentations.
