Flight demo and Travel Market give visitors food for thought
Three special guests paid a visit to our Travel & Tourism department’s Travel Market and iFly aeroplane rig to share good practice.
Victoria Fowell, the Travel & Tourism Subject Advisor for Pearson, which awards qualifications including BTECs, along with travel tutors Tracy Kemp and Arlene Clark from Leyton Sixth Form College, spent time talking to our students and listening to their presentations.
They also had a demonstration from Subject Leader Kelly Griffin on how our iFly aeroplane rig works and were shown around our special World Travel Market.
The Travel Market was a colourful display of stands and tables featuring flags, maps and various food and drink from different countries. It was created by current Travel & Tourism students for Year 10 and Year 11 students to sample on their Taster Days.
Victoria said she was impressed with what she saw and would be using the information she had gathered for a BTEC Case Study.
Tracy and Arlene said it was great to share good practice and to engage in networking between colleges and pass on ideas and knowledge.
