The Level 3 in Animation & VFX follows the UAL Creative Media Production pathway where you will get to learn about the animation industry and how to produce animated shorts, music videos, TV Idents, character design, 3D Modelling and much more.
Using industry standard software and taught by industry professionals you won’t be able to find a better animation course in the area. We have trips locally and internationally to animation studios and festivals as well as leading industry guest speakers.
The actual job role will vary significantly from one employer to the next. The primary role of a digital marketer is to define, design, build and implement digital campaigns across a variety of online and social media platforms to drive customer acquisition, customer engagement and customer retention. You will typically be working as part of a team, in which you will have responsibility for some of the straightforward elements of the overall marketing plan or campaign. You will normally report to a digital marketing manager, a marketing manager or an IT Manager.
This apprenticeship is a minimum of 18 months and should typically be completed within 24 months.
This is a Level 3 Apprenticeship.
You will gain a level 2 qualification eqivalent to 4 GCSEs at grade 4 / C and build your portfolio which will allow you to progress to the next level, usually a Level 3 Diploma.
You will be completing an intensive course covering a range of areas and will diagnose which area suits you best. You will have projects in:
Television production, Film-making, Graphics, VFX, Animation, Radio Production and Media Research.

This practical course focuses on the design and development for the production of Computer Games including understanding the computer games industry, developing story and concept art, game engines, sound for computer games and object-oriented design.
Interested in films, radio, magazines, newspapers and more? Thinking about a career in the media? The Level 3 Diploma in Creative Media could provide you with the perfect start. Using our state-of-the-art television, radio and design studios, you will work across a range of subjects, for example directing your own documentaries, writing and recording radio dramas and creating professional-looking magazines. Your lecturers are all media professionals who will help you to develop the practical skills you need as well as showing you how to do the research and planning aspects of any production.
The Level 3 Diploma comes in two parts: first, the Diploma in which you complete 90 credits in the first year and then, subject to satisfactory performance, the Extended Diploma with a further 90 credits. These units range from Music Video production to Journalism to Animation to Film Studies. We are also currently running units in Page Layout & Design and in Live TV Studio Production. As well as the product - video, radio, magazine etc. - you will also have to put together a file of research and planning for each project. We will show you how to present this work to near-professional standards and we will provide help with English if necessary. All our software is industry standard - Final Cut, Adobe Audition, Adobe Creative Suite etc. We will take you to the London Film Festival as well as events at the British Film Institute and BBC radio recordings. There is also an international trip - recently we've arranged study visits to Berlin, Barcelona and Amsterdam.
