Early Years Health Social Care

What's Involved

This is a full time professional qualification which meets the criteria for employment within the Health and Social care sector at Level 2.

Units might include:

  • Equality, diversity and rights in health and social care
  • Human growth and development
  • Safeguarding and protection for health and social care

Completion of this qualification is achieved through a mixture of classroom-based learning and experience in a Real Work Environment and will equip you with knowledge, understanding and skills across a range of key subject areas. All students complete a mandatory work placement for one day each week. There is a placement coordinator who allocates placements in Health and Social Care or Child Care settings.

Entry Requirements

GCSE English Language grade 4 or above, Maths grade 3, plus 2 other GCSEs at grade 3 or above. Satisfactory interview, Satisfactory DBS (formerly CRB) check.

Where will it take me?

Students can progress onto the Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Health and Social Care or to apprenticeships or employment within the sector.

Course Assessment Method

You will have one assignment per unit which will be assessed.
