This qualification is delivered at our Quarles Campus in Harold Hill. It is fully expected that all learners that begin their learning at this campus will complete their learning at this campus, regardless of the duration of the programme.

This qualification runs at Entry Level 1. All students are fully supported in and out of the class if required. The focus of this course is to develop the students basic skills needed to look after themselves and their home.

  • The course runs 4 days per week;
  • You will gain a nationally recognised qualification in Independent living and will study English and Maths;
  • You will also participate in enterprise activities and undertake work placement/experience, with support if required.

Timetabled lessons Include:

  • Maths;
  • English;
  • Health & fitness;
  • Everyday food and drink preparation;
  • Accessing the countryside;
  • Hobbies.

The Bungalow provision is set in a professionally designed building, which includes a sensory room, fully equipped indoor and outdoor breakout areas, learning zone with interactive optical touch technology, kitchen, bedroom, living room and bathroom. The accommodation provides a safe, secure environment for learners who would find the move from school to the main college environment difficult, providing an opportunity for bespoke programmes to facilitate a successful transition.

This provision offers a college certificate qualification, for students working at Entry 1 and below. All students are fully supported in and out of the class if required. The focus of this course is to develop students' skills in areas such as communication, English and maths, independent living and life skills.

  • You will also participate in enterprise activities and were possible undertake work placement/experience, with support if required;
  • Timetabled lessons will include:

  • Maths;
  • English;
  • Cooking and life skills;
  • Horticulture;
  • Exercise and relaxation.

This qualification is delivered at our Quarles Campus in Harold Hill. It is fully expected that all learners that begin their learning at this campus will complete their learning at this campus, regardless of the duration of the programme.

This qualification runs at Level 1. All students are fully supported in and out of the class if required. The focus of this course is for young people who require the skills to live independently and gain the confidence required to make positive decisions in all aspects of their lives.

  • The course runs 3 days per week;
  • You will gain a nationally recognised qualification in Personal Well-being and will study English and Maths;
  • You will undertake work placement/experience, with support if required.

Timetabled lessons include:

  • Maths;
  • English;
  • Valuing equality and diversity;
  • Developing assertiveness;
  • Understanding motivation;
  • Enrichment activity - personal well-being.

This qualification runs at Entry Level 2. The focus of this course is to introduce and develop the learner’s basic independent living skills which are required to look after themselves and their home. The course is hands on and involves the learners undertaking practical activities in and out of the classroom setting.

• Runs 4 days per week. • Learners will gain a nationally recognised qualification in NOCN Independent living. • Study English and maths and build upon previous skills. • Participate in enterprise activities and undertake work placement/experience, with support if required. • Learners are fully supported in and out of the class if required.

• English & maths • ICT (e safety, on line shopping, social media) • Tutorial • Everyday Food and Drink Preparation • Home craft (doing my laundry, ironing, making the bed, housework) • Health & Fitness (looking after my health, eating well, simple exercise) • Participation in Team Activities • Looking after yourself (How I present myself, what to wear, managing money) • Enterprise

  • Introduction to retail skills;
  • Improving own confidence;
  • Working in a team;
  • Time management skills.
