What's Involved

You will work to complete written assignments and practical investigations to complete a range of practical and theory based units based on the following:

The Nature and Applications of Energy, Waves and Radiation The Study of Living Systems Concepts and Techniques for Chemistry Forensic Detection Electronics in Action Carrying out a Science or Technology Project

If you have not yet achieved a grade 4 (C) or above in GCSE English Language and maths, you will be required to attend GCSE resit sessions (if you achieved grade 3/D) or functional skills sessions (if you achieved grade 2/E or below).

Entry Requirements

At least 4 GCSEs at grade 3 - 1 (E - G) or above.

Where will it take me?

You could progress onto our level 2 course in Applied Science.

Employment opportunities could include a career within forensic science, laboratory assistant, medical technician and many more.

Course Assessment Method

You will be assessed throughout the course via written and practical project work.
