English ESOL Maths Science

What's Involved

The course will give a good all-round introduction to English – the spoken word, written communication, listening to conversation and reading texts. You will learn how to apply these four skills in real-life situations and you will study the Functional Skills Maths qualification. The tutor will help you to follow an individual learning plan that will help you to break down any barriers that you may have had in the past, set goals that are right for you, and work on increasing your confidence.

You can expect to study:

  • Functional Skills Maths
  • ESOL
  • Digital Enterprise

This course is a stand-alone certificate, therefore students would not study anything else alongside it.

Pass initial assessment and/or have entry 2

Where will it take me?

After completing this course you will have developed your English skills in order to prepare you for a more confident approach to your?job search or further studies.?Many employers ask for evidence of basic English and Maths.? This qualification will provide an excellent opportunity for you to recognise the importance of basic communication skills across a wide range of jobs and increase your chances in a competitive environment. Successful students can progress onto the next course level to further enhance their English skills.
