Meriel, 21, is a teacher at Gobions Infants’ School and Brookside Junior School, Harold Hill, in July.

They were among 300 guests at a reception for newly appointed teachers in Havering, held at Havering Technical College, Ardleigh Green Road on Wednesday.

Deputy Mayor Cllr. Bill Smith welcomed the new teachers Chairman of the Education Committee Cllr. Norman Kemble, members of the committee, the Chief Education Officer, Mr. David Wilcockson, and senior officers of the Education Department were present.
