Schools Gets New Heads In Shake upHavering’s education chiefs have appointed seven new heads in a big schools shake-up, it was revealed this week.

New headmaster of Romford’s technical school will be Tomas comer, aged 41, a lecturer in maths and science. He comes to borough from a comprehensive school in leads, where he was deputy head.

 Present deputy head of the Edwin lambert primary school, Hornchurch, Mr John Verrier, aged 39, becomes head of Hacton junior school.

First head of the Mitchel junior school, south Hornchurch, will be David Thake, at present the headmaster at am inner London school

Miss jean Thompson, deputy head of an infant’s school in Waltham forest is the new head of clockhouse infant’s school, Collier row.

Dycorts special school, Romford, will have Mr. Ronald Lowman, aged 43, as new deputy head of special school and has a diploma doe teachers of educationally sub-normal children.

The present deputy head of Nelmes primary school Hornchurch, Mrs. Gladys Davies, becomes head mistress.

And a new headmaster of Squirrels heath junior school, Romford, is Mr. Frank doody, new headmaster of a junior and infants school London. He is 46

The borough is also losing founder principal of Hornchurch College of further education, Mr. A. V. Ebdon, who is to become the head of a technical college in Torquay.

And the boroughs chief education officer, Mr. David Willcockson, spoke of his invaluable work for the college at a recent education committee meeting.
