College Course to Help Ex NursesThe Hornchurch College of Further Education in association with the Brentwood, Ilford, Romford and Warley Group Hospital Management Committees are currently launching a six-week, Monday evening refresher course.

It’s designed to help the trained nurse who left nursing to marry and have a family and now feels she could combine her family commitments with full or part-time hospital nursing.

It will include lectures on midwifery, new drugs, recent changes in mental nursing and the present-day approach to care of the elderly. There will be films, hospital visits and demonstrations of anaesthetic equipment and new dressing techniques.

Former nurses who would like to take part can ring Mr. Desmond Koehane, head of general studies at Hornchurch 52263 or simply turn up at the college on Monday at 7 p.m.
