We enjoyed a phenomenal 70th birthday celebration this Tuesday, coming together with the community to celebrate excellence in education. A combination of our annual open event and the Community Fun Day brought over 600 guests into the Ardleigh Green Campus as guests listened to a live stage filled with talented music students. The event started at 4pm with funfair theme stalls and bouncy castles buzzing with young children whilst free ice cream and candyfloss were on offer to all.rsz 1havering college bouncycastle

As guests walked to view the College’s impressive wall Timeline that outlined memorable dates in the College’s history, they also saw our exhibiting partners who have worked with us over the last 70 years and we would like to give a special mention to the partners:ardleigh green primary school

Coinciding with the Community Fun Day was also our Creative Arts Exhibition as we celebrated the achievements of all Creative Arts students and their End of Year Show. Maria Thompson, the Principal at Havering College commented:

We are so pleased that our College’s 70th birthday celebration and the Open Event was such a huge success. The Mayor of Haveirng was particularly impressed on her first visit, spending over two hours with us and taking a lot of time to speak both to staff and students. We look forward to continuing to provide unrivalled education and to support the community further.
