Havering College’s acclaimed Jubilee Restaurant was recently successful in securing a £10,000 grant from The Savoy Educational Trust to modernise its facilities.

The college used the grant to purchase new equipment for the restaurant which gives Catering and Hospitality students the opportunity to learn in a real working environment under the supervision of trained chefs. Tony Pecoraro, Food Service Lecturer and Restaurant Manager commented

Purchasing new equipment for the restaurant enabled us to modernise our facilities in line with the catering industry. It will be of great benefit to our students.

The Savoy Educational Trust is an independent, grant giving charitable trust, whose main aim is to advance and develop education, training and qualifications within the hospitality industry.

The Jubilee Restaurant, based at the College’s Quarles Campus, has gained a fantastic reputation for providing fine dining at a fraction of the cost and students with hands on experience to prepare them for their future careers. The restaurant is open to the general public during term time. If you would like to make a reservation, dining dates/times and menus can be found online. Call 01708 462 886 or visit the jubilee restaurant to book.
