After successfully recruiting a male football team, Havering College have been scoring big in the London & Essex FA Men’s recreational 7 aside football league.

The league is designed to offer tournament opportunities to male students who are not currently in academy programmes to play football against other colleges.

So far the team, which consists of – Eyyub Husseni Yusef, Aman Khalid, (GK) Xhovani Kalthi, Ergys Xhoxha, Osman Hassan, Luke Fearne, Marc Relph and Captain Nathan Mutale have played 4 games.. They played four games that consisted of two 10 minute halves without any subs. Goal Keeper, Ergys Xhoxha managed to pull off two magnificent penalty saves during the tournament.

Faye Lambert said

I was extremely proud of them, they were a real credit to the college and should be pleased with their achievement. The team are back in action again on the 23rd November and training takes place on the back field with myself on a Thursday 4.30-6pm.
