MASTERCHEFS-IN-THE-MAKING are kicking off a fresh new season at a Havering restaurant.

The Jubilee Restaurant at Havering College is now ready to welcome food lovers in search of a fine dining experience.

The restaurant based at the Quarles Campus in Tring Gardens, Harold Hill, RM3 9ES, has gained a fantastic reputation for providing fine dining at a fraction of the cost...and this year promises to be just as tempting.

The eatery gives students on Hospitality and Catering courses the opportunity to train in a real working environment under the supervision of trained chefs. Fledgling chefs from previous courses are now working in top London hotels and even the House of Commons.

The Jubilee Restaurant is open for lunch from Tuesdays to Fridays and for dinner on Thursday evenings during college term times.

The menu features high quality meals, prepared from locally sourced produce where possible. A delicious three course lunch with coffee is just £8.50.

There are special themed weeks featuring cuisine from around the world, such as A Taste of Italy week from October 14th-25th when dishes such as Chicken Cacciatore and Crème Brûlée will be on offer.

Restaurant manager and Hospitality and Catering lecturer, Tony Pecoraro said: "We are very proud of our Jubilee Restaurant where students learn how to create classic dishes from around the world and take pride in offering excellent customer service. We receive great feedback from diners who enjoy a fantastic experience at unbelievable prices."

Other themed weeks planned for the programme are Flavours from France from November 4th to 14th and a European Menu from November 18th to 28th.

Diners can mark those special events in 2015 by booking in for a Valentine's Menu from February 10th-13th or a Royal Ascot Menu from June 16th-19th.

Thursday evenings are 'fine dining events' with a more extensive choice of dishes prepared and served by Level 3 students.

On six Tuesday evenings a year 'gourmet dinners' are planned when a five course set menu for £18.50 will be served.

Food lovers can discover the delights of a traditional afternoon tea served on certain Fridays throughout the year. High Afternoon Tea is priced at £7.95 (or £10.95 with champagne or Pimm's Cocktail).

The Jubilee Restaurant will be celebrating the festive season with a Christmas Festive Lunch menu available from Tuesday, December 2nd to Wednesday, December 18th at £16.95
