Have you ever wondered what an apprenticeship is?
An apprenticeship is open to anyone aged 16 and over and typically consists of working four days a week with one day at college. You will be going to work, earning a wage, gaining experience and learning valuable skills on the job; you will essentially be earning while you’re learning.
There are two ways of applying for an apprenticeship. You can either approach an employer and ask Havering College to provide the training, or you can apply for an apprenticeship vacancy advertised at Havering College. The on-programme support that Havering College will provide you with throughout the duration of your apprenticeship is second to none. You will be given a dedicated coordinator to work with you, your employer and your tutors. With regular progress reviews, we are here to guide you. You will also benefit from our industry standard facilities.
At the end of your apprenticeship, the college will work with you and your employer to help you go on to the next level of training or gain full-time employment, either with your current employer or another employer the college has access to.
Because of the skills, knowledge and qualification you will gain from your apprenticeship, Havering College can help you get to the level employers are looking for.
