What's Involved

Suitable for candidates wishing to learn skills in operating specialist machinery to get items on to and down from high storage spaces. Learn about keeping appropriate goods at low temperatures and improve your spatial awareness so that you can quickly and efficiently load objects of different shapes and sizes.

Elements include:

  • Health Safety and Security at Work
  • Developing effective working relationships with colleagues in logistics operations

You will also study elements of the lifecycle of an order, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, using equipment to move and handle goods, and stock management.

Course Assessment Method

Typically the Certificate and Functional Skills English and Maths will be delivered at our Ardleigh Green campus for one day per week. You will be visited regularly in your workplace to review progress. Assessment will be via assignments, assessment in the workplace and external testing.
