What's Involved

The Level 1 NCFE Certificate is designed for students who want to develop skills, knowledge and understanding of business and enterprise which includes a vocational and hands-on element. It has been developed to enthuse and inspire students to consider a career in business and enterprise. The qualification will appeal to those students who may wish to either set up their own business in the future, move into employment or progress onto further study.

There are four units of coursework which will be studied:

  • Introduction to Business and Enterprise
  • Marketing for Business and Enterprise
  • Finance for Business and Enterprise
  • Plan, Outline and Take Part in a Business or Enterprise Project

Students will be expected to study both English and Maths alongside this qualification. Throughout the course they will also be involved in setting up a small business enterprise and raising money towards a charity of their choice.

Entry Requirements

There are no entry requirements for this course but you will need a reference from your school or college and to provide any other certificates you've achieved. You should have a keen interest in business and be willing to take part in the practical sessions of the course.
