What's Involved

If you love cars and considering working in the Motor Vehicle Accident Repair industry this course will give you those specialist skills required to either progress to the Level 2 Diploma or to employment.

The course includes spray painting techniques, minor damage repair, M.E.T. stripping and refitting, panel preparation, welding and panel fabrication.

Entry Requirements

Must have Level 1 Body Repair.

Where will it take me?

You can progress onto a career in Vehicle Accident Body Repair trade or any other related trade in the Motor Vehicle industry.

Course Assessment Method

You will be assessed by:

  • Evidence of competence gathered and compiled by the student throughout the academic year;
  • Continuous observation by the tutor;
  • Tutor marked workbooks as evidence of practical workshop assessments;
  • Online multi-choice exams, set by IMI, to test theoretical knowledge;
  • Student produced portfolios (assessed by the college and IMI).
