What do we mean by Equality and Diversity?
When we talk about Equality we mean the way we treat staff and
students at the college- as individuals, ensuring that we provide the
right support ,opportunities and access to all services. We recognise as
individuals we are all different and we aim to cherish and celebrate
these differences.

What are protected characteristics?Equality
legislation identifies a number of groups who are covered under the
legislation. These groups are identified as having ‘protected
characteristics’. The areas covered by the law are:

-religious belief
-sexual orientation
