Havering College of Further and Higher Education values diversity within its learners and staff.

Some interesting facts you may not be aware of about the college and its community…

• Our staff gender balance is 34.8% male, 65.5% female. In terms of teaching staff it is 49% male and 51% female.

• In terms of ethnicity 12.6% of our staff come from Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) groups as opposed to 10% for the London Borough of Havering.

• 7.7% of our staff have a declared disability.

• All of our staff are currently undertaking e-learning modules on Disability, Race, Religious Belief, Age, Sexual Orientation, Gender and Behaviour.

Of our learners:
• 59% of our students are male and 41% are female.

• 23% of our students come from BME groups.

• 8% of our learners declare themselves to have a learning difficulty or disability.

• All of students have a compulsory tutorial on Equality and Diversity.
