Teaching Social Work

The BA (Hons) Social Work is the professional qualification required to apply for registration as a Social Worker in the UK. You will join a committed and highly enthusiastic group of students and find a warm and supportive environment, learning skills, knowledge and values that will equip you for your chosen career. This specialist course is validated by the Open University and approved by the Health and Care Professions Council. Accreditation is being sought from the College of Social Work.

  • Law for Social Workers
  • Readiness for practice

LEVEL 5:

  • Social policy and social justice
  • Using research and evidence in practice
  • Practice with adult service users
  • Practice with children and families
  • Practice placement 1

LEVEL 6:

  • Research in action
  • Specialist issues and innovative practice
  • Practice placement 2
