The 14 – 19 Diplomas are designed to give learners the opportunity to undertake applied studies in a range of areas. By 2013 there will be 17 diplomas that a young person at key stage 4 and beyond can choose from.
You would study a diploma at key stage 4 through years 10 and 11. You would also study core GCSE's as well as other related qualifications.
Diplomas come in 3 levels:
- Level 1, also called Foundation
- Level 2, also called Higher
- Level 3, also called Advanced
At present diplomas are being phased in through pilot schemes.
