Havering College of Further and Higher Education recognises that parents are key influencers in the success of our learners.
We welcome the involvement of parents in the learning journey from the very beginning to the very end.
Parents are welcome to attend Open Events at the college and make any enquiries they need to during the application/interview phase.
During their studies, all 16-18 year old learners have a ‘case conference’ report completed on their progress, attainment, attendance, any areas of concern. These reports are completed three times a year (usually around the half term) and are sent to individual learner homes.
Each 16-18 year old learner is allocated a tutor and the details of those, including contact arrangements are contained within the student handbook. If you need to speak to a class tutor, on any issue of concern, please do not hesitate to call them either directly or by contacting the relevant departmental secretary.
Learners are registered at the commencement of every session, whilst at the college, and attendance is very closely monitored. If you have any concerns regarding attendance, you should speak to the course tutor, who will be able to report attendances and absences to you.
Our support services are extensive, and if you have any questions or concerns regarding individual support needs or financial support needs for your son/daughter, please contact: Student Services on: 01708 462718 or The Learning Support Service on: 01708 455011 ext 2128.
