INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS   |   Immigration

As an international student, depending on your country of origin, you may need a visa stamped in your passport before you travel to the UK.

We have provided a list of countries that require this in our attached International Student – Pre-Arrival Pack.

There is further advice and guidance in the pack to prepare you for your studies here at the college.

As the list is subject to change, please check direct with www.ukvisas.gov.uk.

You will also need a visa if:
• You are a stateless person; or
• You hold non-national documents.

As a visa national, you won’t be able to switch from visitor to student status once you’re in the UK, so make sure you apply for the right visa in the first place.

All international students are subject to immigration control and it is, therefore, mandatory for you to attend a workshop on immigration which will be included in your programme. For further information on immigration control, please refer to the UK Border Agency website at www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas-immigration/studying

Once in the UK, if you change your address or any contact details, it is important that the college is advised immediately in order to comply with immigration regulations in relation to monitoring your movements.
