Magic Circle law firms help students on legal career pathway
MAGIC Circle law firms have supported a successful event to inspire the next generation of legal eagles emerging from Havering College.
The college in Hornchurch, Essex, held an enrichment day for students on the ILEX Legal Secretaries course.
Nine employers – including elite "magic circle" firms such as Freshfields and Clifford Chance – ran a series of realistic exercises for students with certificates presented to the top performers.
Havering College curriculum manager for ILEX Legal Secretaries courses, Javia Denton said: “This was our third successful enrichment event for Ilex Legal Secretaries. It was designed to provide a way of meeting and interacting with potential employers to ensure our learners are tailored to the current climate requirements.
“The afternoon session consisted of presentations from all the companies as well as testimonies from ex-students who are currently in employment as a result of studying and achieving at Havering College.”

Freshfields, Herbert Smith, Clifford Chance, Clyde and Co, Eversheds, Laytons, Weil Gotshal Manges, Moss & Coleman and Law Support.
