Erasmus is the EU’s flagship educational programme for students, academic and non-academic staff in the area of Higher Education which is funded by the European Union. Since its introduction in 1987 over 2million students, teachers and staff have benefited from Erasmus.
The programme enables individuals to carry out a short period of study or work in thousands of institutions in 33 European countries. Erasmus aims to promote individual mobility opportunities and trans-national co-operation among Higher Education institutions within Europe and thus to enhance the cultural, linguistic, personal and professional development of all participants.
In 2010 Havering College of F&HE has been awarded the Erasmus University Charter and we are glad that this will enable our students, academic and administrative staff members to explore the numerous opportunities which Erasmus offers and reap the benefits of a truly amazing experience.
