Specialist Network

As the LSC-appointed Transport & Logistics lead provider, Havering College has set up a specialist network of providers, who specialize in the delivery of transport & logistics provision. A launch event was held in February 2008 and the first network held meeting in April. Providers apply by completing an Expression of Interest (EOI) and the EOI criteria requests providers to state their delivery capability as well as their approach to quality and their commitment for achieving the Training Quality Standard (TQS).
The specialist network meets on a quarterly basis, and as well as provider representation, stakeholders (e.g. SSCs) also attend to provide input and updates on industry developments. The overall Terms of Reference for the specialist network are as follows:
To facilitate the exchange of information between SSCs/Train to Gain, LDA, LSC, National Skills Academy and Providers in order to develop quality assured provision to meet employers’ needs.
