News Updates
We were delighted to be one of a handful of training providers to exhibit within the new training development zone at Coach & Bus Live 2009. Visitors to the NEC Birmingham were impressed by the course information available on the Havering College stand.
There were 6,000 visitors to the event, which also acted as a showcase for the latest designs in passenger transport vehicle technology.
The event was attended by Hugh Sumner, the Director of Transport for the Olympic Delivery Authority. Hugh was a guest speaker at Transport Skills for London conference staged by Havering College this year.
The Transport and Logistics team also met Vicky Ball, Head of Workforce Development for GoSkills at Coach & Bus Live.
Joint Approvals Unit for Periodic Training (JAUPT)
The
college has successfully registered as an accredited CPC centre.
Certificate in Professional Competency (CPC) is being driven by EU
regulations, which obligates employers to deliver a minimum of 35 hours
of training to their professional drivers across a 5 year period. By
the college registering with JAUPT, some of our courses that we deliver
will be accredited to count towards CPC training for employers and
employees.
