The qualification is an integral benefit of the Freight Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) – a Transport for London (TfL) led membership scheme that aims to transform road freight delivery in London. It falls within the Transport for London (TfL) Freight Plan.Following two successful pilots earlier in the year, the LFB is now a BTEC award with two additional specialist London units for which successful candidates receive a TfL certificate. The London Freight Booster provides the underpinning knowledge for students to progress to the full Level 2 NVQ in Carry and Deliver Goods.Havering College Curriculum Manager for transport and logistics Justin Rowley is delivering the LFB course at Mitsubishi Electric in East London at 6am in the morning to fit in with company schedules.
